A few days before Valentines day we had a snow day here in upstate NY. Around 11 my DS called to say she was working from home & my niece and nephew were going stir crazy. So my niece wanted to come stamp. I quickly took a shower (you know how when you're re recuperating, a shower is one of the last things you do.. you'd have to actually get up to do that.. lol).. and we made a few valentine's gifts for her to give away. Here's what she made for her mom & dad..
The heart box is from PTI which we covered in Basic Grey Devotion DS paper. We distressed them with Colorbox Cat's Eye ink in a dark and light brown. Added a little pink grosgrain ribbon around the top and bottom and viola'.. Allie filled them with Dove chocolates.. This coming from someone who hasn't had candy since before Thanksgiving.. YUMMY...
For the matching card we used... Buckaroo Blue, Devotion DS card stock and Whisper White. The flower from Simply Said (SUP) was stamped in black stazon and then colored in red, purple, pink and green copic markers. For a little bedazzle we added stickles to a few flowers... A Valentines day card just isn't a card if it isn't bedazzled with a little glitter.. LOL For the verse, we used the Snap stamps I picked up from Ellen Hutson's store last summer. LOVE THEM when you need a little verse and you don't have one. And finally, we added a little double stitched light blue ribbon.
Not bad for a newbie (with a little help from me... :))
