Did some one say Blog Candy...

Two days remaining to get in on a little sweet candy... :)

Or in this case.. Birthday present..

OK so I'm tooting my own horn. But what the heck, if I don't do it who will??? (insert giggling smirk here).. This month I will be celebrating a monumental birthday... Yep it's the big 3-9 and holding.. the 39th to the 2nd power.. the official year when all of my decorations are black and silver and say something about being 'over the hill'.. (gasp... gag... choke).. For some reason I'm having grave difficulty getting those two little syllables out..

Being this is such a monumental year I've decided to let everyone celebrate with me. For the next 3 weeks leading up to this prestigious event I will have some great give aways... This weeks present is a $10 gift certificate to one of our favorite online stores.. Jacksonbelle Embellishments (thanks Lindsey for an awesome job on the g/c)..

So what do you need to do to win??? Between now and 11:59 PM Monday the 11th comment here on this post with your answer to the following question.

When it comes to your crafting.. Who (or Whom) do you find most inspirational? And why?

Only 1 comment per person please. I will draw a winner Tuesday morning, so please ensure there's a way I can notify you if your the winner.

I'll start with mine.. I have many but I would definatley have to say... Michelle (Mish Mash) with all of her great daily tips .. many of which I've already used. Beate .. she's such an enabler. And I definitely can't forget Lindsey or Angie. Their cards are spectacular !!! So who are yours?
NOTE>>> I will be keeping these posts on top so that they don't get lost with all of my ramblings :)

Happy birthday ... no mention of the numbers here! I find inspiration from so many SCS ladies, but I'd have to say that I always love Beate's designs ... now if I could just have more time to play ...

Happy 39 again! When it comes to crafting I like Allison's Stampin When I Can blog. She compiles all the good stuff so I can get tutorials on anything! Thanks!

Hi Lisa!
Happy birthday!!

Thanks for the chance to win great candy!

Those ladies at Papertrey Ink are most frequently my source of inspiration. Nichole, Debbie, and Ellen are just my style :)

What a great way to celebrate! Happy Birthday!

I would have to say that the person I get most of my inspiration/motivation from is Wanda at My Creative Corner (blog). I read her blog every day, most of the time several times a day to see if there's something new posted! :)

If we're talking about websites though, SCS is handsdown at the top of my inspirational list!

Happy Birthday!

When I grow up, I want to be Tracy Durcan... or at least be able to stamp like her! I just love her one layer creations

Happy Birthday indeed! I'm getting seriously close to reaching that big number myself! I'm trying to stay young as long as possible, though!
I think my favourite person inspiration wise is Julia Stainton right now. I love her style.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Happy Birthday! Yikes there are so many blogs that I visit daily on my favourites list, it's not even funny!

Top couple would be Beate (love her designs, colours, tutorials, you name it), Allison (Great cards, colours and amazing blog) and SCS (whenever I think about getting a new set, I visit the site first to see what can be done with it!)

Cheers,

Yosha

Happy Birthday. One of my favorite inspirations comes from Amy Rysavy's blog. It was the first one I ever found, and I loved it from the moment I saw it! Her cards are always top-notch and through her blog, I've found so many other interesting and fun blogs. She continues to be the best artist that I've ever run across. I consistantly love what she does.

Happy Birthday! Don't let those numbers get you, you're only as old as you feel! Well, some of your commenters have already given some of my favorites, but two I don't see are:
http://marielovestostamp.blogspot.com/ - I love her tutorials AND I mustn't forget Jan Tink at: http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/ - because she makes me laugh as well as making great cards!

Only ONE person? OMG! That's so hard! There are so many inspiring people out there...I do not want someone to think that if I didn't choose them, that they don't inspire me...
(big sigh)
OK, just one...then I choose Maria (Card Inspired) beacuase she is an amazing talent, does great colouring (which I'm not good at) and shares her amazing sketches!

Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy your day.
My inspiration has always come from my mother. She started me early in crafting. She has taught me to quilt, crochet, paint, and cook.
Thanks for the blog candy.

My inspiration comes from a lot of very talented bloggers. I can't name just one so I won't name any. I will just say thank you to everyone who takes the time to create, share, and inspire!

There are a lot of wonderful blogs online-but going to my favorite local stamp stores is what is the best for me. SOme have hundreds of examples lining the walls and always add to it. ANd if I am really truly stuck, I ask my 10 year old neice what looks good. SHe has a good eye and is very honest.

Happy Birthday to YOU! What a nice way to celebrate with all your readers. What sweet candy to a sweet store. All I can say is YUMMY! Inspriation...boy that's hard with all the great blogs out there. I get a lot from SCS gallery and so many blogs. But if I have to pick one it would be Beate's, cuz of all of her variety, techniques, and instuctions. Thanks for a chance at this sweet candy.

Happy Birthday! The main person that I find inspiration from is my friend Melodie who got me hooked! I keep telling her to do a blog and she hasn't yet...The online people that I love are Beate and Debbie at Thinking Inking. They always have amazing things!

Happy, Happy birthday to you!! June is a GREAT month to have a birthday! It's hard to narrow it down to one because there are SO many people that bring so many aspects of individuality to design...I guess it's more than 100 ladies I check out their blogs ALL the time in my reader! I can't play favorites!

Karen Lindsay said...

Yes, Happy Birthday!! I would have to say my greatest influence comes from the ladies who taught classes at Stampressions in Billings, MT. That's where I took as many classes as I possibly could for a year. Julie Koerber has had the most influence of all those ladies. I find that I tend to use her techniques more than any others in the classes I now teach at the local stamp/scrapbooking store in Sheridan, WY. What a satisfying hobby we have!

Great blog candy!

I also belong to SCS and I enjoy the challenges and gallery there. I would have to say DebbieDesigns and also DebbieDee. They just make the prettiest cards I have seen! When I go to DebbiesDesigns daily she takes my breath away at her work. I would say they both are the best.

Hi Lisa! I like oh so many! If I could just pick one (at least for now), it might be Julia: http://bellepapier.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

My Biggest Inspiration is my gardening and then gardening/stamping buddy Leslie Miller aka leslierich. Can't get any better than that! Then in Oct. 04 I discovered SCS and added Jacksonbelle, Trudee, Julia S and others to my list. What a joy to share our creative passions. BTW, 39 is not over the hill, but the start of the better half of life!

Happy BDay!!!
No way to pick just one inspiration, so I will just have to say that the Blog World and SCS Gallery are my inspiration!

Happy Birthday month! lol My inspiration comes from Paris Otremba, Beate and so many other fabulous bloggers. I seem to spend more time on blogs than I do on galleries now. (doesn't help that I have way too many in my reader list). lol

Gina K is most inspirational for me. Her designs are fresh, fun and she has such excellent instructions on her blog on how she makes her cards/uses techniques that even a beginner like me feels successful.

I'm relatively new to stampiing, so I find lots of inspiration on the blogs I visit. My favorite seems to be whichever one I'm visiting at any given time. I always check out Beate for tutorials and ideas, though. Luckily, she was one of the first I found. She's the queen bee! Happy bd -- and many more.

Happy Birthday! There are so many great places for inspiration, but for several months now my favorite has been Tayloredexpressions...Taylor VanBruggen's blog. Taylor's card designs are simply lovely (clean, fresh, detailed...very pleasing to the eye). They make me want to stamp! And buy stamping goodies. lol

There are so many wonderfully creative ladies out there and I get inspiration from ALL of them. But a few of the blogs that I check out EVERY day include Julee Tilman, Beate and Anna Wight!!

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I read several blogs and they all inspire me. If I had to pick one that stands out to me, it would be Nichole Heady. She designs great stamp sets, has a fun blog, and I have been following her work in Paper Craft Magazine, everything she creates is wonderful.

Happy, Happy B-Day!

Ummmm- my inspiration - there are so many, many talented ladies over at SCS that inspire me I would find it horribly difficult to pick one - the Dirty Dozen is as close as I can get to picking an inspiration - but there are many, many ladies that are not in that category that inspire me.

Thanks for the contest!

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a really great one!

I can't really narrow it down to one person for inspiration, there are so many. From the many blogs I read to SCS, and my friends - each are inspirational at different times.

Happy Birthday! I'm only a couple of years behind you and then I'll be holding at 39 too!

As far as inspiration....wow....there are so many super-talented stampers.....to name a few, I'd say Debbie Olson, Sharon Harnist, Beate Johns, and Valerie Stangle.

Enjoy your bday even though those numbers are scary. They only get worse so celebrate the one you are at with great gusto!

My inspiration comes from so many different people that it is hard to really nail down just one. SCS and sketch challenges probably inspire me the most. I'm also inspired by Pat Huntoon and her newsletter.
