Well, I just got this bright idea to store/separate my smaller scraps - I found a clear coupon keeper kind of thing (with pockets) and separated them! I hope it works...

I've been having issues for a while now with my punches...not sure where to keep them all. Sound familiar? Then, I saw on a blog the other day that she stores her SU punches in a medium-sized box, laying the small ones flat in bottom and the large ones she hung off the sides of the box. Genius! Now, I just need to scour the house for another plastic box to put to use elsewhere! That's my task for tomorrow! lol :)
Happy organizing and thanks for the generous offer of more blog candy! :)

I did a major overhaul. My scrap area is in our bedroom, so you can say I have a very small corner and it gets messy fast and I can never find anything. After discussing with DH, we removed the TV and stand from the bedroom and I now have more room for me. We brought in a tall bookshelf and moved my desk by it. I bought cute boxes from IKEA and labeled them and put the correct things in them. This has been a tremendous help. I find I put things back where they belong I also purchased some magazine holders and labeled them and made one especially for my old and new SU catties. Now I can find everything I need. Sorry, didn't mean to write a book, but can you tell I am so excited about my new found space. YOurs looks awesome too!

It looks like susanh and I had the same idea! I found a clear coupon keeper, too, and have sorted my scraps by color. Seems to be working so far!!!

Ha! My stamping area is my dining room table and with family coming home this weekend we need somewhere to eat...so clean everything into piles...then as soon as everyone leaves on Sunday...my table becomes a craft table again.

I'm so envious of all who have craft rooms. Although I like working in my dining room because of the natural light and large area.

I did some organizing last week with punches and stamp sets, so this week was mostly just putting stuff back after my 1-year-old pulled it out/threw it/jumped on it. :)

I agree with Pat so jealous of all the stamp rooms out there in blog land. I have a closet. It is very hard to stay organized.

My organizing tip is to hang a pegboard in your closet. You can then get cheap wooden dowels and cut them to size to hang your scissors, templates, even ink pads on. I love mine!

I have actually moved my stamping room from downstairs to an upstairs room this week. I am organizing alot of things. I like the fact that the upstairs has a built in dresser with big drawers. I am putting my papers in one of the drawers. It keeps them nice and neat, with small plastic to hold my small papers in. I organize by colors.

I bought some new plastic containers with lids from the dollar store so that I could separate my supplies according to holidays. I have a Valentine box, for example, and have all my red ribbons, heart stamps, embellishments, etc. in that box. I'm doing this for all the holidays. I was getting such a surplus of embellishments that it was hard finding them so this is the solution I came up with.

I have a class this weekend so I haven't been organizing but my tip is to keep eyelets and brads in little ziplock bags, punch a hole above the zipper part and hang them on binder rings. I found this one someone else's blog (don't remember whose, sorry) and I love it!

Oh Oh, I know! I didn't do it this week, but last week. I finally figured out how to store my ribbon that I buy by the metre. I have all my stuff in the dining room in a pantry (yes, you can pity me now), so I whipped up a wire rack that I stuck to the inside of the door and safety pinned the ribbon ends to the wire. The whole length hangs there in plain view and I just cut off what I need. There's photos on my blog if anyone cares to look. Thanks for the giveaway and nice cleaning up!

I just received my order of stamps from Eureka. They're all unmounted stamps so I store them all in old VCR cases. Since I ordered them online and the pictures online are basically the same size as the stamp, I took the easy way out. I copy pasted the pic of the online stamp onto a doc with others that I ordered. (They were all basically the same type: one case were verses and bookmarks, the other case was animals.) I then printed 2 sheets of each. One that wraps around the VCR case, fitting underneath the plastic protector. (I left an area open where the edge title would be so I can write what's in there.) The second I put in a sheet protector and store in a notebook. Instant classification of my new stamps. That organization of my new stamps took me 5 minutes but saves me LOTS of time.

I have been moving my stuff from my spare bedroom into my dining room. I placed my smaller kitchen table in there and moved my large dining table into my loving room. now I can have two groups of ladies working at the same time. We no longer use these rooms since my sons got married and moved 5 hours away. I have lots of room to spread all my stuff around. Great.

Today I'm going to take my clear stamps and put them in CD cases and label them, it looks so much easier than what I'm doing now.

Anyone who knows me and my crafting they know I keep my ribbon on hangers...I just tie them on and hang them up (I stamp in a walk in closet so it's easy!) I spent yesterday flat on my back after my epidural steriod injection (for pain with my herniated disks) tying more ribbon on my hangers! FUN FUN!

Hi, I finally got my papers organized & it's so much easier to find what I need! I have a file cabinet built into my desk & have put one or two colors in each file (labels have a piece of the paper in the tab so I can see it easily). I also put a plain manila folder in the front of each file for scraps. No more using whole sheets of color because I couldn't find a small piece! My non SU colors are in a roll around bin - one drawer for solid colors, one for patterned.

I bought a paper stacker this week and have organized all the paper according to colors. I can already tell a difference in how much easier my scrapping will be now that my paper is organized.

I have sorted my scraps by color in some little containers I can pull out anytime I need them. Also have hanging file folders in my desk for all of my colored cardstock.
Thanks for a chance to win!

I am organizationally challenged and need all the help I can get. I did, however, buy some wood blocks and dowels from Hobby Lobby to make my own ribbon holders. I drilled a hole in the middle of the block and glued the dowel in the hole. Then I can slip my ribbon on the roll over the dowel and be able to see what I have. I made several of them so I can organize kinds of ribbon on them.

I got some of the large ziplock bags to separate all my scraps according to color. I have zillions of scraps & this project is taking hours! I do it while watching TV and I'm getting so tired of reruns!

Hello, I have not done any cleaning in my stamp room lately. I am not as lucky as you are and have a stampin room, it is just a walk in closet for now until we get our basement finished. But I did have an old spice rack that I cleaned up and put some of my embellishments in. I love that look and it turns too.

I recently bought a seven part expander file for all my scraps. Love it! It has a section for each color family, patterned, neutrals and in-colors. I keep it right under the desk for easy access.
